Digital signature (PAdES)
Voltzzflow applies real cryptographic signatures over PDFs, not just a drawn image.
The signing certificate
The organization's owner uploads a .pfx / .p12 certificate at Settings → Certificate. The certificate and its password are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM); they're never exposed.
How you sign
- Open the contract in the viewer.
- A popup appears where you choose the certificate (like a Google account picker).
- Click on the document to place the signature box wherever you want it.
- Drag it to move it, or delete it with the X.
- Apply: a signed PDF is generated.
What happens technically
A PAdES (PKCS#7) signature is embedded in the PDF, with a visible stamp (name, certificate subject, date). The signature is verifiable in Adobe and is tamper-evident: any later modification invalidates it.
For a qualified signature (QES) via a remote HSM (e.g. cloud.alfasign.ro), you need a separate contract and credentials with the provider.
